A small hand-built box featuring Puff Blossom, a wonderfully eccentric character taken from the antique Cupid’s Almanac and Guide to Hearticulture, dating to around 1912.

Puff Blossom emerges from her flower in an enormous soft mauve bloom, leaning forward to kiss the tip of the stem. Strange, romantic and just a little surreal, she was irresistible.

I’ve reworked the original antique illustration in faded pink and mauve tones and paired her with old French card stock to create this little keepsake box.

Made individually by hand in my studio, each box has the slight variations and imperfections that come with being handmade.

A lovely place for tiny collected things: old buttons, threads, jewellery, photographs, keepsakes or whatever else deserves its own little box.
