A little handmade box inspired by the faded haberdashery packaging, old paper and forgotten sewing notions I am forever collecting.

This box has been constructed entirely by hand in the Pomme de Jour studio from vintage French card stock, (after years I have finally found a use for it) then finished with a softly coloured antique portrait and details inspired by antique French haberdashery.

Nothing began life as a ready-made box. From the box itself to the finished decorative surface, each one is individually made by me.

The soft blush pink, old French typography and beautiful profile portrait give it the feeling of something discovered in the back of an old mercerie, while remaining very much a Pomme de Jour Studio Made piece.

Perfect for holding jewellery, buttons, ribbons, sewing notions, tiny keepsakes and other small treasures, or simply lovely displayed amongst a collection of old textiles and haberdashery.

As each box is individually handmade, there will be small variations in the folds, edges and finish. No two will be completely identical.
