The Little French Boxes: Au Bon Marché

The Little French Boxes: Au Bon Marché
A little box made entirely by hand in the Pomme de Jour studio from vintage French card stock, featuring an old Au Bon Marché, Paris, one-franc voucher.
The original voucher was issued by Maison Aristide Boucicaut and has all the wonderful details of old French commercial ephemera, from its elaborate typography and decorative border to the sweeping signature across the front.
The softly faded rose card was chosen to complement the warm tones of the old voucher, with small decorative details continuing around the sides.
Each box is individually made by hand and produced in a very small number, so slight variations and imperfections are part of its character.
Perfect for keeping buttons, ribbons, jewellery, stamps and other tiny treasures, or simply as a decorative little object in its own right.
