A small decorative portrait piece made in the studio from gathered vintage elements.

An old brass-toned portrait setting holds the image of an early American woman, chosen for her wonderfully quiet expression and beautifully understated dress. I have finished the piece with a length of soft, faded sage green vintage ribbon, left deliberately relaxed rather than made too perfect.

The reverse of the setting is lovely in its own right, with a radiating textured design and aged brass finish.

Designed simply to hang and display, rather than to be worn as jewellery. I love these amongst collections of old photographs and keepsakes, hanging from a cabinet knob, tucked into a little still life, or simply suspended from a small hook on the wall.

Each of these Studio Made pieces is assembled individually using old and vintage finds, so no two will be quite the same.
