A wonderfully theatrical vintage jewellery box in the form of a scallop shell, covered in rich raspberry pink flocked velvet and standing on four tiny feet.

The shell opens to reveal a pristine white padded interior, originally intended for a ring or small piece of jewellery. It has all the charm of a Victorian seashell keepsake, although this example is a later vintage piece, likely dating from the mid to late 20th century.
