A beautiful unused piece of vintage Souleiado fabric, printed in Provence and retaining its original Impressions de Provence selvedge.

The design is a striking Provençal floral and geometric stripe, with alternating decorative bands of stylised flowers, leaves, diamonds and scalloped motifs. The wonderfully earthy palette combines warm tobacco and ochre brown with deep inky navy and soft cream.

There is something almost tile-like about the repeating geometric bands, softened by the tiny floral details between them. It's a particularly lovely example of the richly patterned textiles associated with Provence.

The fabric is unused and measures approximately 129 × 100 cm, giving a generous piece for cushions, lampshades, a small blind, bags or other sewing projects. Equally, one to keep for a collection of vintage French textiles.

The original selvedge is clearly printed SOULEIADO · IMPRESSIONS DE PROVENCE · SOULEIADO.
