A fabulous piece of unused vintage furnishing fabric with an exuberant floral design on a rich, warm red ground.

The print is full of colour, with large stylised flowers in vivid turquoise blue, coral pink, yellow and green, mixed with smaller blossoms, buds and trailing foliage. There is something wonderfully painterly about the flowers, particularly the extraordinary blue blooms and blowsy pink roses.

The scale of the design and strength of the colour make this a brilliant piece for interiors. At 130 x 149 cm, there is enough fabric for a good-sized project, whether cushions, a lampshade, a small upholstery project, a textile panel or simply something wonderful to keep in a fabric collection.

The original selvedge remains along one edge and includes the words “grand teint meuble”, referring to a colourfast furnishing textile.

This is unused vintage fabric, rather than fabric removed from an earlier furnishing project. It has been stored over the years, so please bear in mind that minor signs of storage may be present despite it never having been used.
