Vintage French Printed Cotton Fabric with Pastoral Figures, c.1960s

Vintage French Printed Cotton Fabric with Pastoral Figures, c.1960s
A 1960s printed cotton in the style of toile de Jouy, with a classic French pastoral design, featuring a soft, romantic scene. The design runs in vertical repeats with alternating floral borders and pastoral vignettes, young women in blue dresses gathering flowers beside rustic fencing, all surrounded by stylised foliage in shades of dusky rose, ochre, muted blue and cream.
Printed on a medium-weight matte cotton with a gentle drape, this fabric would be beautiful repurposed for cushions, statement panels, or nostalgic soft furnishings. The reverse side shows a faded mirror of the surface print, typical of roller-printed cotton from this period.
Condition
Very good vintage condition. Colours remain soft but clear. No holes or major flaws noted. One edge has a narrow stitched hem.
