Studio Made Portrait Tin No. 2, Folk Art Child

Studio Made Portrait Tin No. 2, Folk Art Child
A very old tin given a new life in the studio.
This one-of-a-kind keepsake tin has been reimagined using a reproduction of an early folk art portrait, carefully aged and distressed by hand to complement the wear and patina of the original metal box.
The portrait depicts a child holding cherries beside a bed of flowers and a striking butterfly. Rich plum tones, soft wear to the edges and the aged surface of the tin create the feeling of a treasured object discovered in an old drawer or forgotten cabinet.
Ideal for storing sewing notions, stamps, jewellery, tiny keepsakes, letters or found treasures.
Created from a reclaimed vintage tin and historic imagery, each piece in this series is entirely unique.
