A very old tin reimagined in my studio using a carefully selected antique American folk portrait.

The portrait has been printed, applied by hand and gently distressed around the edges to complement the age and wear of the original tin. The reverse retains its wonderful patina, with areas of worn metal, rust and traces of the original green paint showing through.

I love objects that have already lived a life. This little tin began as a humble everyday container and has been given a new chapter as a decorative keepsake, perfect for holding small treasures, buttons, jewellery, snippets of ribbon or tiny collections.

Condition Very good vintage condition for age. The tin displays significant wear, patina, rusting and surface marks consistent with age and use. These features form part of its character and appeal. The portrait has been intentionally distressed by hand around the edges.
