A one of a kind decorative pin cushion created from an antique British child's leather shoe, carefully restored using timeworn textiles and antique materials.

Measuring approximately 14 cm in length, the original burgundy leather shoe retains its wonderful character, with a rich patina, softened leather and signs of genuine age and use. Rather than disguising its history, these marks have been celebrated, giving the piece warmth and authenticity.

The handmade pin cushion has been covered in a vintage floral linen in faded raspberry pink tones, trimmed with antique lace and firmly secured within the shoe. It has been traditionally stuffed using reclaimed filling from a damaged antique bonnet, giving new life to materials that would otherwise have been lost.
