A beautiful length of vintage French woven trim, still wonderfully crisp in its original red, navy and cream palette.

The narrow cream ground is woven with a repeating red diamond motif, overlaid with tiny dimensional navy woven details, each centred with a flash of red. At just 0.5 cm wide, it is exceptionally delicate and has that lovely intricacy found in old French passementerie and haberdashery trims.

There is 239 cm in one continuous length, making it particularly useful for textile work, doll clothing, costume, journals, miniature projects, edging, decorative repairs or simply adding to a collection of old French notions.

I have wound the trim around a card that I made using a reproduced old French image, so it will arrive exactly as shown. The card is newly made and is not vintage, it is simply a decorative way of presenting and storing the original vintage trim.

The trim itself is vintage and French, with the small irregularities and gentle signs of age that give old haberdashery its character.
