A beautiful little length of vintage French ribbon. Each card holds 2 metres of original vintage French ribbon, available in a choice of two wonderfully soft shades, powder pink or pale blue.

The ribbon is beautifully light and supple, with a fine woven texture and gentle lustre rather than a high satin sheen. It has the lovely quality and softness of old haberdashery stock and would be equally beautiful used in sewing and textile projects or simply kept wound on its card as part of a vintage ribbon collection.

The cards have been created in the studio with the feel of an old French mercerie in mind, softly faded pink with the word “Chic” above a delicate framed design. Each is wrapped with its ribbon and finished with a small contrasting blue tag, giving the whole piece the appearance of something discovered in the drawer of an old haberdashery shop.

Perfect for slow stitching, textile collage, doll making, decorative mending, ribbon work, journals, wrapping special gifts or adding to a collection of antique and vintage sewing notions.

The ribbon is genuine vintage French stock and therefore may show occasional small marks, variations or other signs of age. I think these are very much part of its charm and character.
