A little bundle of British postal history, gathered and packed for keeping, collecting and creating.

Each glassine-style packet contains 60 original used British postage stamps, with a mixture of 20 blue, 20 red and 20 purple stamps featuring the young Queen Elizabeth II.

The stamps have been deliberately grouped by colour, creating three wonderfully muted little collections. Some retain their original postmarks, and variations in tone, cancellation and wear make every packet slightly different.

I particularly love them simply gathered together like this, the translucent paper softens the colours and gives the packet the feeling of something discovered tucked inside an old desk drawer.
