French Seaside Group Photograph Postcard, c.1920s–1930s

A fascinating original French photographic postcard showing a large group gathered on a pebble beach, likely during a family outing or holiday in the late 1920s or early 1930s.

The photograph captures dozens of children and adults posed together amongst the beach pebbles, with striped beach shelters and seaside buildings visible in the background. The clothing provides a wonderful snapshot of the period, from cloche hats and patterned dresses to children's knitwear and sailor-inspired outfits.

Unlike studio portraits, this is a genuine moment of everyday life, preserving a fleeting day at the seaside nearly a century ago.

The reverse is unused and marked Carte Postale.

A lovely piece for collectors of vernacular photography, social history, family photographs, French ephemera, or anyone drawn to the stories hidden within old photographs.

Condition Good vintage condition with age-related wear, light marks and spotting consistent with age. Please study photographs carefully.
