A wonderfully decorative vintage ceramic serving tray, with a deep petrol blue border surrounding sprays of pink, plum and soft white flowers.

The centre has a beautifully aged crackle glaze which gives the piece real character, while the shaped border is decorated with raised white flowers, picked out with touches of blue and gilt. The floral decoration has an almost watercolour quality against the softly aged cream ground.

The reverse shows extensive crazing consistent with age, and there are areas of discolouration, small marks and general wear. There is also wear and some small losses to the raised floral decoration and gilt, all of which I have photographed. I rather like the contrast between the rather glamorous flowers and its obvious age.

A lovely piece for a dresser or table, perhaps for displaying perfume bottles, jewellery or other small treasures. It would also look beautiful simply propped on a shelf as part of a collection.

Measurements: 33 cm wide x 28 cm x 6 cm high

Condition: Vintage condition with extensive crazing, age-related discolouration and wear, small marks and losses to the raised decoration and gilt. Please study the photographs as these form part of the description.
