A beautiful little Christmas remembrance card dating from 1935, decorated with delicate blue forget-me-nots, pale pink flowers and intricate gold detailing.

The front reads Remembrance, With Every Good Wish, surrounded by an elegant floral design with a basket of blue flowers at its centre.

Bound with its original pale blue ribbon, the card opens to reveal a printed Christmas and New Year greeting, personalised for J. A. Mitchell of Southwick, Sussex, and dated Christmas 1935.

I particularly love the combination of soft blue flowers and gold lettering, and the rather touching idea of a card that has survived more than ninety Christmases.

A charming piece of Christmas ephemera, perfect for a collection of old greetings cards, paper treasures, journalling or simply displaying amongst other vintage decorations.
