A quiet little decorative piece, created in the Pomme de Jour studio from carefully gathered old and new elements.

An oval brass-tone pendant frame has been fitted with a miniature reproduction portrait inspired by an early 19th century painting. Rather than being worn as jewellery, it has been finished with a length of vintage ribbon so it can be hung from a cupboard knob, displayed on a hook, tucked into a cabinet, or incorporated into a seasonal display.

The reverse of the pendant is left plain, allowing the softly textured metal to become part of the design. There is no glass covering the image, giving the piece a gentle matte finish.

Small enough to disappear amongst treasured collections, it is intended simply as an object of curiosity and decoration.
