Rare blue and red ticking striped linen bordure d'étagère/ dessus de cheminée. It dates from around the 1920s-40s.
This is a rare example, I have never seen another one like this. Typically made to ornate shelves and chimneys. Absolutely wonderful condition, just a gentle fade. It is a linen fabric with blue and red strips. There is a scalloped edge with small red dots. There is a tape top and yellow hooks for hanging.
