Exquisite French antique brown transferware compotier. This can be used also as a bonbonniere or cake dish. Made by Choisy-Le-Roi, France. The backstamp indicates it dates from the period starting 1878 and finishing at the turn of the century.
Made of ironstone the transferware pattern is brown floral and it has a tea stained patina, no fissures, no chips it is in a wonderful condition considering its impressive age!
