Antique Framed Cat Portrait 'Yours Truly Jim' – Oval Convex Glass

Antique Framed Cat Portrait 'Yours Truly Jim' – Oval Convex Glass
A whiskered gentleman for your gallery wall. Early 20th-century feline charm, signed ‘Yours Truly, Jim’.
A wonderfully eccentric antique framed cat portrait, featuring a rather serious tabby cat signed “Yours Truly, Jim”. This whimsical piece dates from the 1910’s–1920’s, with all the hallmarks of early photographic studio portraiture.
Housed in its original oval wooden frame with convex (bubble) glass, the photograph has softened beautifully with age—showing light foxing, gentle fading, and the soulful stare of a much-loved feline subject. The frame has beaded gilt detailing and scuffs that are entirely consistent with its 100+ years of life, adding to its rustic, storied charm.
The reverse retains its original wooden backing, old paper tape edging, and a simple string hanger—aged but holding steady.
A fabulous oddity for a gallery wall, curiosity cabinet, hallway, or any space that needs a little offbeat charm. This is the kind of piece that sparks conversations—and a few smiles.
