A tiny bottle of curious things, assembled from old and found pieces.

Inside this little glass bottle is a wonderfully peculiar collection of vintage doll limbs, tiny arms and legs in faded flesh pink, complete with the marks and wear of their previous life.

The bottle is closed with a cork stopper and tied at the neck with aged string. Hanging from it is a small old metal key, still attached to its original string, which I have deliberately left just as found.

There is something slightly unsettling and rather beautiful about the combination, discarded doll parts preserved beneath glass, an old key hanging at the neck, and no explanation as to what it might unlock.

Made entirely from vintage and found elements, this is a one-off piece with plenty of age, wear, tarnishing and imperfection. Nothing has been made to look old, the character comes created from overlooked fragments, old objects and things that might otherwise have been lost.
