Vintage Velvet And Wax Artificial Amaryllis Stems

Vintage Velvet And Wax Artificial Amaryllis Stems
Rich in colour and charmingly timeworn, these vintage faux amaryllis blooms are a dramatic flourish from another era. Faded, frayed and full of presence.
This bunch (of 2) vintage artificial amaryllis stems is bold, theatrical and beautifully faded. Featuring deep red velvet-textured petals, wax-coated bulbs and painted paper-wrapped stems, these are true mid-century florals with a nostalgic twist. The leaves are made from stiff, painted green fabric, while the petals show fraying, dust, and time-softened creases, all part of their authentic appeal.
Likely French or Italian in origin and dating to the 1950s–60s, these flowers were probably used in shop displays or domestic arrangements. They sit wonderfully in vintage vessels or simply draped on a dresser for that touch of faded grandeur.
