Georgian era, early 1800s silk floral embroidery, perfection even with all the signs of the passing of time. This is a collectors piece, it needs somebody who will appreciate its fragile beauty and give it a forever home.
The embroidery is floral and has been sewn using silk threads and another textured thread on a silk background. Please see all the images for an idea of the condition, remember it is 200 years old! The body of the embroidery has come away from its frame on all but one side, it’s hanging in there. This can be fixed. The frame is intact and there is blotting paper to the reverse. This is a stunning piece.
