Hall, F.R.M.S., and published by A. & C. Black Ltd, of Soho Square, London, this edition features 63 full-page colour plates from Bonhote’s Birds of Britain.

Rich with field notes, natural detail, and a painterly eye for plumage, this guide was designed for the amateur ornithologist. The pages show gentle age and charm, including scattered foxing and a child’s handwriting on the endpaper that simply reads Handfig… -a poignant trace of past ownership.

Condition

Good vintage condition with signs of wear. Cover shows slight marking and a ring stain. Inside pages have occasional foxing, and one endpaper features faint handwriting. Plates remain vibrant and intact.
