A stitch of calm, a thread of scent

Teabag Lavender Sachet – Still Room Project

In the old still rooms of country homes, herbs and flowers were gathered to soothe and preserve. This month, we steep ourselves in lavender and cloth — crafting a tiny sachet shaped like a teabag, complete with a dangling tag to carry a whispered thought.

 🪡 Make Your Sachet:

Everything you need — from cloth and twine to lavender and labels — has been tucked inside your curated box. No need to gather, just begin.

  1. Download & cut the template 👉
Download Petite Teabag Lavender Template (PDF)
Print at 100% on A4 paper.

  2. Cut two matching pieces of fabric using the template.

  3. Layer them with right sides facing out — no turning inside out required.

  4. Sew around three sides, following the dashed red stitch line in the template. Use a straight stitch, and pink the edges if you like that classic zigzag teabag look.

  5. Fill with lavender, using about a teaspoon.

  6. Fold the top edge inward and stitch across, inserting one end of your twine into the seam.

  7. Attach a paper tag to the other end of the string.

Make the Tag:

Use a 2 cm square of vintage paper (ledger, music score, dictionary page) and fold it in half.
Glue the twine in between the fold, and add a quote or word to the tag.
