A stitch of calm, a thread of scent

Teabag Lavender Sachet – Still Room Project

In the old still rooms of country homes, herbs and flowers were gathered to soothe and preserve. This month, we steep ourselves in lavender and cloth — crafting a tiny sachet shaped like a teabag, complete with a dangling tag to carry a whispered thought.

 🪡 Make Your Sachet:

Everything you need — from cloth and twine to lavender and template — has been tucked inside your curated box. No need to gather, just begin.

  1. Cut two matching pieces of fabric using the template.

  2. Layer them with right sides facing in, sew around the edges leaving the very top open.

  3. Carefully turn the sachet right side out , using a pencil of knitting needle to push out .the corners

  4. Fill with lavender, and dried rice using about a teaspoon.

  5. Fold the top edge inward and stitch across, inserting one end of your twine into the seam.

  6. Attach a paper tag to the other end of the string.

Make the Tag:

Use the template and vintage paper in the box or (ledger, music score, dictionary page)
Glue the twine in between the fold, and add a quote or word over the top if required.
